Antique Carved Alabaster Bust Margherita of Italy by Giuseppe Bessi
Giuseppe Bessi (Italian, 1857-1922) “Margherita”, circa 1900, carved alabaster marble bust of beloved Margherita of Savoy, Queen of the Kingdom of Italy. Titled on front of plinth, and signed in script on rear shoulder. Measures 8.75in height x 7.75in width x 4in depth. Condition: tiny flea bite chip to flower on left side of her head, little pin prick size white spots on front of tunic.
