Lorraine Pinto (Mexican/American, b. 1933) Brutalist bronze sculpture bust of woman. Mounted to a wooden plinth. Signed and dated lower rear. Measures 17in height x 9in width x 5in depth with plinth and about 16in height x 8in width x 7.5in depth sculpture only. Condition: Sculpture is in excellent condition, the wooden plinth have been repainted and is like new. Pinto exhibited most recently in a 2012 retrospective at Art de Moderne - Mexico City “Cinetismo” (Kineticism). In addition to her serious art career her sculptures were included in the sets of the campy R-rated 1975 B- Movie classic “Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary” about an American bisexual vampire artist living in Mexico.
