Nancy Day (Canadian, 20th/21st C.) “Red Poppies & Others”, 1998, oil on canvas, signed lower right, additionally signed, dated and titled verso on stretcher. Old gallery label verso for Kensington Fine Art Gallery, Calgary, Alberta. Framed in wood frame with gold front trim. Measures 41in x 31in framed and 40in x 30in image only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Day earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta and additionally studied at the Alberta Art Gallery and the Department of Extension at the University of Alberta. She attended the inaugural year of the Lester B. Pearson Summer School of the Arts on Vancouver Island., in 1985. Her work is held in corporate collections including Alberta Government Telephones, Amoco, Steiner Corporate Art, RBC, CIBC, and Hitachi Canada.
