1953 William Russell Button watercolor painting on paper “Anniversary Show”, depicting an imaginary Art Exhibition in honor of Button’s friend Herbert Freidlich. Button owned a prestigious art gallery on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue and was additionally a watercolorist. Inscribed “Congratulations and many good wishes...and may the next LX excel the first. Wm Russell Button, Dec. 21, 1953”. Framed in wood framed matted under glass. Measures 13in x 10in framed and 8in x 5.25in watercolor only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
