Magnificent 19th Century porcelain console bowl with figural putti and mask handles. Finely rendered hand painted Orientalist scenes of a woman reclining on a hammock in the company of her deerhound dog and a musician playing a lute. The opposite side depicts a group of woman relaxing in a row boat. Unsigned and unmarked but most likely German circa 1880. Measures about 18.5in width x 14.5in height x 9.5in depth. Condition: Chip to top of plinth on which the bowl is attached as shown in photos, a simple restoration requiring only a color match, additionally a flake chip can be felt on the inside rim of the bowl, it may have occurred during original production since it is painted over with the gilt floral design that decorates the inside rim and is difficult to see.
