The abbreviated biography of Jacobson follows: Teacher, Taos (New Mexico) Valley Art School, 1952-1953;teacher, Philbrook Art Center, Tulsa, 1953-1954;professor, Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, 1956-1986;professor emeritus, Arizona State University, Tempe, since 1986;guest professor, University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1967-1968.
Solo exhibitions include Yares Gallery, 1981, Kerr Cultural Center, 1989, Arizona Western College, Yuma, 1989, Medford Gallery, Tucson, 1992. Represented in the permanent collections of the Phoenix Museum, New Mexico Museum, Arizona State University, Hastings College, Arizona Western College, Dallas Museum, Pennsylvania Academy Fine Arts as well as many private collections.
