Elliott Newton (California, 1937-2015) Handled ewer featuring Newton’s fabulous crystalline glaze that he perfected over 20 years and gives his pieces an inimitable surface. Inscribed signature on base. Newton used porcelain clay to create his ceramics with Greek and Asian influences. He used crystal glazes that were fired at very hot temperatures with slow cooling periods. Measures 21.5in tall. Condition: Excellent condition
