Charming original watercolor painting on paper by Illinois Artist Laureate Kay Smith. The still life scene depicted is an antique china pitcher full of flowers with a tiny doll perched against the bottom of the pitcher. Signed lower right. Kay Smith is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where after graduating she became an illustrator, in 1994, she was given a lifetime designation as Artist Laureate of Illinois. Framed in wood frame, matted under plexi-glass. Measures 29in x 23in overall and 19.5in x 13.5in image only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
