Lovely oil painting on canvas featuring a serene scene of a mother reading papers and her son leaning against her chair and looking over her shoulder. The mother has a big Gibson girl bun and period clothing. The flowers and below have an impasto quality, giving the baby’s breath in the bouquet some depth. The figures have a faint pencil outline. Signed lower right Deena A. Albers, framed in an ornate wood frame. Measures 32.5in x 39in, 23.5in x 29.5in image only. Excellent vintage condition.
