Louis Abel-Truchet (French, 1857-1918) Les Danseuse, 1900, color lithograph, Imp. Eugene Verneau. Depicts a crowded Montarte dance hall cafe where the woman dance with each other, a common sight at the turn of the 19th century and considered a much more modest proposal than dancing with male strangers. Signed in plate lower right and having monogram for Eugene Verneau lower left. Framed in wood frame under glass. Measures 40in 32in framed and 28in x 20in sight. Condition: print has light creases in background area above the heads of the crowd and dancers, couple minor scratches, framing has minor nicks, scratches.
