Lovely pair of 1930’s charcoal drawings on paper depicting a basset hound and a scruffy little terrier in the bottom panel. Signed and dated (‘37 & ‘38) lower right of each. I’m unable to decipher the signature. Old gallery stamp verso for Richard Norton, Merchandise Mart, Chicago. Framed in black wood frame matted under glass. Measures 18in x 22in framed and the beagle is 8.25in square, the terrier is 7in height x 8.25in width. Condition: Drawings in excellent vintage condition, frame has minor nicks.
