BERNARD VILLEMOT (1911-1989) “Bally”, 1982, lithographic poster. In Villemot’s most delicate and sophisticated design for Bally, a lithe young woman with blonde bobbed hair wears an implied little black dress as she slips on her pink Bally flats for the evening. Signed in stone top right, additionally marked along left bottom edge “Imp. I.P.A.,94500, Champigny/ 706 34 22”. Framed in black frame under plexi-glass. Measures 70in x 49in framed and 66.5in x 45 sight. The framer has added a 2.5in black border top and bottom so the image has a little more breathing room and isn’t so cramped. Condition: A little faint crinkling from handling noticeable only under scrutiny. Looks terrific and shows well!
