Beautiful 1997 art glass bowl signed by Robert Eickholt made of mottled purple glass with stripes radiating out from center and having five lobes rather like a starfish. The ruffled rim is capped off by a dark purple lip wrap. Signed and dated ‘97 on bottom. Measures approx 12in diameter at widest and 5.25in height. Condition: Excellent condition. Bio: Robert founded Eickholt Glass in 1978 when he returned home to Columbus, Ohio after studying glassblowing in Berkeley, California. Once home he continued his studies at Ohio State and at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Robert Eickholt retired from glass making in May 2013.
