Michael Plaminek (American/Chicago, 20th/21st C.) Abstract faceted and color laminated acrylic sculpture. Five rainbow colored stalagmites on a round clear acrylic base. Signed and dated (2004) on base. Measures about 38.5in height x 13in. diameter Condition; Excellent vintage condition. Bio: Michael Plaminek was born in Czechoslovakia and became involved with designing in acrylic as a child. Michael's unique dexterity and feeling for the material earned him the reputation as the best acrylic craftsman in Chicago before he reached the age of 21. Michael's sculptures have been shown in renowned galleries across the country.
