Chuck Dodson (Florida, 1908-1993). Fabulous modernist sculpture featuring a swirling and intertwining set of three female nude figures amidst an array of biomorphic surroundings. Has several openings through the entire sculpture to allow light to pass through. Completed with remarkable texture, having a mix of cross hatching and spots of oxidation throughout. Signed on inside of leg DODSON as pictured. Measures approximately 32.5in tall x 13in wide x 11.5in deep. Weight: 66lbs. Excellent vintage condition. Chuck Dodson was an architect turned sculptor and was a resident artist at the Grove House in Coconut Grove, FL. He earned much national attention after being featured in Playboy Magazine in the 1970's. His sculpture's were predominantly of female nudes and erotica and he often used his wife Danielle, a retired ballerina as his muse.
